Palantir Corporation, AI software company, has surged in profits via US government contracts, most recently a $10 billion contract with the US Army and with a $364 billion market cap. Over the last year, Palantir stock has surged 524% due to its full integration into the US government.
Palantir provides software to governments or corporations to analyze data using artificial intelligence, and thereby creating digital infrastructure.
Apparently through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Palantir is being used to create a threat categorization list of all American residents and citizens.
This list has the potential to be used to target residents and citizens based upon their beliefs and activities such as through AI predictive policing like in Houston, Texas. In other words, people are targeted preemptively by artificial intelligence analytics and without having committed a crime or breaking the law.
What could be more Orwellian than artificial intelligence watching people's activities and thoughts, and using the AI analysis to determine whether or not a person should be targeted?
