Emerging Global Realities
BRICS expands to 6 + by adding Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE, Egypt, Ethiopia, and Argentina.
This expansion is a major global development that challenges further the Unipolar Rules-based World Order via US hegemony.
Currently, BRICS represents 41% of the world’s population, 24% of the GDP, and 16% of global trade. The additions will push the numbers higher, and thereby becoming the most powerful organization in terms of population represented and GDP.
The 6 additions add 419.9 million population and 2.65 trillion in GDP.
Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE coupled with Russia represent around 40% of the world's oil supply.
Multipolarism via a just, fair international system for all countries and de-dollarization are key BRICS agendas.
The basic premise of BRICS is a counter to the current rules-based order that is blatantly biased, hypocritical, and riddled with double standards, and the notions of democracy, freedom, human rights etc., mask neocolonialism. The case of Niger shows that more and more people are standing up to the neocolonialists as France is further unmasked and its pillaging of West African natural resources.
The expansion of BRICS further shields Russia and China from Western sanctions and weaponized trade.
How will the Unipolar Rules-based Order react to threats to its control?
The Ukraine Proxy War shows an attempt albeit failed to weaken a rival using military force, propaganda, and sanctions.
The Western media is a cog of this Order, attempting to propagandize Westerners and people worldwide. Case in point: the apparent death of Prigozhin has led the Western media in unison blaming Putin without factual evidence. Western globalists hate Putin for standing up to the hegemony.
Likely the Unipolar Rules-based Order will collapse internally from out of control debt and de-dollarization and de-colonization, and in the meantime more conflict seems inevitable.
