Electrification Lockstep

This interview excerpt explains the WEF indoctrination of young globalists:
As shown by the image below, the Government of Canada and various municipalities are jointly funding the electrification public transit buses, and in the case of Toronto, in the amount of $700 million. In another example, the Government of Canada announced a deal with VW on building an EV battery plant in Southwest Ontario. The Government has agreed to $13 billion in subsidies for VW.
It should be noted that the shift from combustion engine vehicles to EV vehicles will result in significant net job loss: all the auto parts companies and auto repair services will be severely impacted by the shift as the EV vehicle has around 20 moving parts in contrast to over 2000 in the combustion vehicle. In addition, the eventual EV autonomous self-driving vehicles will threaten the jobs of millions of trucker, bus, taxi, delivery, ambulance drivers etc., (in the USA alone, there are around 3.5 million truck drivers and over 366 thousand bus drivers).

Electrification is part of the agenda as it leads to and ends with autonomous self-driving vehicles (which means control over people's travel) and the elimination of human driven vehicles.
It should be noted that although electric vehicles don't have the exhaust of a combustion engine, electric vehicles are highly damaging to the environment at the front and back ends:
The electricity for electric vehicles derive from a number of sources including coal, natural gas, and petroleum.
The EV batteries derive from intensive mining of lithium, cobalt, nickle, manganese, and graphite. Apparently 500,000 pounds of earth must be moved to attain enough rare metals for one EV:
"To manufacture each EV battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium, 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, 25,000 pounds of ore for copper: diging up 500,000 pounds of the earth's crust For just - one - battery."
"Particularly in hard rock mining, for every tonne of mined lithium, 15 tonnes of CO2 are emitted into the air."
"Mining raw materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel is labor-intensive, requires chemicals and enormous amounts of water—frequently from areas where water is scarce—and can leave contaminants and toxic waste behind. 60% of the world’s cobalt comes from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where questions about human rights violations such as child labor continue to arise."
Then there is the issue of EV batteries end of life:
"the only EV battery material worth recycling is cobalt. That leaves lithium, manganese, and nickel, among a host of other materials that may not be economically recyclable or require additional processing that drives cost. That’s not only bad for the environment since there is a ton of leftover material"
And EV batteries typically only last 8-10 years.
So the electrification being pushed globally is not what it may seem. The freedom of mobility and privacy lost through autonomous self-driving vehicles may be the most serious impact. Though the serious environmental impacts are undeniable.
And combustion engines are becoming more efficient and cleaner.
If the globalists are serious about the environment, which they are not, then we all should go back to the horse and buggy.
