As we mentioned, 2027 is slated for a major deployment of the millimeter technology (24 -100 GHz plus). Perhaps this deployment will coincide with the activation of the 15 minute confinement zones.
Currently, we are investigating a rural site shown above that is listed as 5G with frequencies between 3.5 and 3.6 GHz. This site is using microwaves via cellular satellites. In our opinion, it is high frequency 4G, although presented as 5G.
The 5G millimeter wave has difficulty traveling through objects and has dispersion range of around 2.4 km as compared to 4G microwave which is dispersed in excess of 20 km, and 4G does not have difficulty traveling through objects. So in rural areas, 4G is ideal.
However, 5G millimeter has begun to be deployed to specific commercial sites and high dense urban areas and areas of high concentration of people such as stadiums and public recreational areas.
Verizon as an example claims to have deployed over 40,000 5G millimeter wave nodes (small cell sites), and says it deploys 2-3 thousand nodes every year.
